SongScope.com Announces Major Upgrades to its On-line Song Pitching Service
Alpharetta, GA - SongScope (www.SongScope.com),
the industry leader in on-line song pitching for songwriters, announced today the completion
of their new and improved on-line song catalog website.
"We're very proud of what we've managed to accomplish over the years," said Jesse Deese,
CEO of SongScope.com, "We were the first company out there of our kind and we're confident
that this latest upgrade will raise the bar even higher."
Songwriters around the world have been using the service since it first went on-line
in January 2000. Industry users regularly make requests through the SongScope system for
songs they need for their latest projects. A notice goes out to the songwriters about the
type of song that's requested, and those with songs that fit the request, submit to it using
the special code associated with it. If the industry user is interested in the submitted
song, negotiations pick up between the songwriter and the industry user directly.
The new SongScope.com makes it easier than ever for songwriters and artists to connect with
today's music industry professionals. The site has improved its navigation and audio quality,
added functionality, and now has a FREE personalized songwriter or artist PromoPage included
with every songwriter and artist account. In addition to a free PromoPage, songwriters and artists
can now upload their audio files on their own, enabling faster setup and quicker response to
industry user requests. Industry users now have the ability to browse and fully search the SongScope
database, with two new associated features called Tag (for easier song retrieval) and Hold (for
securing rights to a song while it is temporarily removed from the database for 21 days). The
SongScope system has also been streamlined in order to process and review Industry user requests
more quickly and to submit the responses from songwriters and artists to those requests more
efficiently.
SongScope has always helped to promote and support the efforts of major songwriting resource
websites such as The Muse's Muse (www.musesmuse.com),
and sponsors many of the well known songwriting and independent artist contests such as the Just
Plain Folks Music Awards
(www.jpfolks.com/MusicAwards/),
UNISONG (www.unisong.com), the Windrift Music
Songwriting Competition (www.windriftmusic.com),
and Cooch Music's Amateur Songwriting Contest
(www.coochmusic.com). SongScope.com intends
to continue supporting these kinds of initiatives that empower songwriters.
