The Loft Recording Studio & RiverCenter for the Performing Arts Present: CHRISTMAS IN THE VALLEY -- A Musical Celebration
COLUMBUS, GA - Christmas in the Valley, a Musical Celebration, is a three-tiered project designed to represent the variety of music ministries throughout the Chattahoochee Valley.
 Tier one launches next month as churches and ministries interested in participating bring their rehearsed choral ensemble, gospel band or praise band to record one Christmas song at The Loft Recording Studio at NO CHARGE! Solo artists and instrumentalists are also invited to participate.
A Christmas in the Valley collection CD will be produced from these audition recordings and will be available through SongScope Records in November 2006. In addition, each group's recording studio experience will be professionally filmed and photographed. Some of the filmed footage will be included in the final production of a DVD.
The second tier of this project is a live concert at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts in Columbus, Georgia. This will be held Sunday, December 3, at 2:30PM during Winterfest 2006. Participants for this performance will be selected from previously recorded audition sessions held at The Loft Recording Studio located in Columbus, Georgia. "We anticipate this becoming an annual project and a way to bring the entire region together to worship and celebrate in song", stated Buddy Nelms, Loft Recording Studio partner.
A combined choir will be rehearsed from community participants and a 90-minute live performance will be organized by respective music ministry leaders and professionally directed.
Tier three involves the recording of the RiverCenter concert which will be included in the production of a Christmas in the Valley, a Musical Celebration DVD.
Audition recording sessions for the Christmas in the Valley project will be held July 17 through September 30, 2006.
