1) Who is an Industry User?

Only persons associated with verifiable music industry entities (i.e. - having a business telephone, business address, etc). We will verify all registered Industry Users.


2) How will registering as an Industry User of SongScope.com help me?

Signing up for the free Industry User account allows you to be able to make requests that post to our on-line "tip sheet". Our 2500+ Songwriters receive each approved request by email and can review all current requests by viewing them at www.SongScope.com/Seekingsx.cfm.


3) How do I register as an Industry User of SongScope.com?

Go straight to our registration form to register today!


4) How do I change my login or contact information after I have registered?

Login to your existing account with your username and password. Click on the "update my profile" link in the column on the right side. Update as much information as you need - such as address, phone, or email. Click the "update" button to save your changes.

5) Do SongScope songs have only a short clip or the entire song?

No. We store entire songs in stereo on our site, streamed using RealAudio™ technology. We know that if Industry Users like a song, they will want to hear the entire song and not just the first minute.

No.

7) I get an "Error Occurred While Processing Request" response when I try to log in. What's wrong? This is what it looks like:

The cookie value SSREMAINING was not found in the current template file. The cause of this error is very likely one of the following things:

  1. The name of the cookie variable has been misspelled.
  2. The cookie variable has not yet been created or has timed out.

To set default values for cookie variables you should use the CFPARAM tag (e.g. < CFPARAM NAME="Cookie.Color" DEFAULT="Red">)

To Enable Cookies

For IE 6.0:

  1. Click Tools on the top menu bar.
  2. Choose Internet Options; click the Privacy tab.
  3. Move the Settings slider all the way down to Accept All Cookies.
  4. Click Apply and then OK.

For IE 5.0:

  1. Click Tools on the top menu bar
  2. Choose Internet Options; click the Security tab.
  3. Scroll down to Security and you can customize your Cookie selection.

For IE 4.0:

  1. Click View on the top menu bar of your browser.
  2. Choose Internet Options; click the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to Cookies and choose to accept cookies.

For IE 4.0 for Mac:

  1. Click Edit on the top menu bar of your browser.
  2. Choose Preferences.
  3. Scroll down to Cookies and choose to accept cookies.

For IE 3.0:

  1. Click View on the top menu bar of your browser.
  2. Choose Internet Options; click the Advanced tab.
  3. Scroll down to Cookies and choose to accept cookies.

For Netscape Navigator 4.0:

  1. For Netscape Navigator 4.0, click Edit then Preferences.
  2. Click on Advanced and make your Cookie selection.

For Netscape Navigator 4.0 for the Mac:

  1. Click Edit on the top menu bar.
  2. Select Preferences; click Advanced.
  3. Make your selection.

For Netscape Navigator 3.0 for the Mac:

  1. Click Options on the top menu bar.
  2. Select Network Preferences.
  3. Click the Protocols tab and choose to accept cookies

Also, if you are on a corporate network, your firewall or proxy server may be blocking your access. If your cookies are turned on and you still get this message, consult with your system administrator.
